Solo vs. Together Play
you’ve probably seen the term “interactive” used a lot to describe cat toys. But what does it actually mean? Nowadays…nothing.
Interactive used to mean being active with your cat in playtime, but now it’s also applied to toys that play with your cat for you. Finding great cat toys is difficult enough as it is, but now it’s more confusing than ever because these terms have lost their clarity, everything is a buzzword, and the same handful of toys pop up no matter what you search.
So we’ve made it our mission to simplify the search for cat toys. Instead of the confusing term “interactive” we categorize toys and Goosie Games™ by “together play” and “solo play” - MUCH simpler and more sensical!
TOGETHER PLAY
Together play is when you are actively involved and playing with your cat. Together play is great for bonding, figuring out what your cat likes and how they like to play, high energy sessions to tire them out, and mimicking a real hunting session. Remember to play with your cat, not at your cat!
SOLO PLAY
Solo play is when your cat is playing with a toy on their own. Solo play is great for keeping your cat occupied when you can’t give them a full session, scent enrichment, and exerting their natural instincts that aren’t safe to let out on you à la kicking, biting, and scratching.
